Three cheers for being back in Washington! *hip-hip-hoorays ensue*
Instead of making this particular entry a gripe-fest (as it was quickly turning out to be before I held the backspace button for at least thirty seconds to delete all my quirky complaints) about how tired I am, I'd much rather fill you in on the latest.
Basically... I can't tell you anything. Boo, hiss.
However, there are a few things I do know for certain and am allowed to share without risk of violating a gigantic confidentiality clause with the production company. First: I've had a seemingly unending travel schedule of recent and thanks to the Lord and the trusty folks at Alaska Airlines, I made it safely to and fro my destinations - including my luggage! Talk about a blessing. Second: We've wrapped filming the Miss America reality series. While we don't have all the details just yet, we know that the series - which will consist of four one-hour episodes - will air during the month of Janury prior to the Miss America Live! finale on January 26th on TLC! I think the entire pageant family nationwide will be pleased to have an inside glimpse into our Miss America preparation and will thoroughly enjoy the final product. All I can say about production is we laughed... we cried... we ate... a lot. All in all - it was the experience of a lifetime and I'm anxious to scope it out once it reaches TV land.
Third: I'm in Wenatchee! As much as I love the climate in sunny Southern California, it was so heartwarming to arrive in (frigid) Washington only to be whisked away to this beautiful valley and welcomed with holiday cheer! Patti Belik and I attended their first annual Style show and luncheon which was a tremendous success and we were entertained late into the evening at the "Holiday Spice" Concert. What a fabulous way to kick off the holiday season! I'm feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and downright Christmas-y. This just may be the motivation I need to clean up Hurricane Elyse that has managed to hit the inside of my apartment during the short spurts of time I spend at home. I'm so blessed with a patient roommate!
It is late. I am wiped out. If it weren't for the folks one floor above this hotel room, who apparently are fiercely rehearsing for a square dancing competition while wearing tap shoes, I'd probably have been asleep. Its quite obvious that I'd much rather spend my time here conversing with you.
I realize I need to provide some info on the cruise. Specifics will follow (as will photos), but I'll sum it up in a few choice words: Dramamine, Tropical Storm Noel, No Nassau/Atlantis, Stateroom size = Altoid Can, Dazzling Talent Show, Miss America Pageant Family, & humidity. That pretty much covers it. Ha!
Until we meet again,
