Just a quick note to let y'all know that I made it safe and sound! (I don't know how they do it, but these Southern girls have such sweet and infectious accents!) I'm here in California and we'll be departing the hotel in about an hour. Destination: Unknown.

We had a meeting with Miss America & production staff from PB&J Productions as well as TLC. We left that meeting with just as many questions (if not more) than when we walked in! I know that we're going to have an incredible time though. It sounds like they've got some interesting stuff planned (and I say interesting in the literal sense... not in the sarcastic-questionable sense). I had a wonderful reunion with several of my National Sweetheart Class of 2006 sisters and have met almost everyone who will compete in January. Last night I bunked with Leah Massee, Miss Georgia and we've had a great time - many inside jokes will surely follow.

We'll be handing over our cell phones in a matter of minutes and won't have access to internet while at the facility. Talk about M.I.A. It's all worth it though - tell everyone you know that the fruits of our labor will result in four one-hour reality shows to be broadcast on Friday nights, starting January 4th, 2007 each week up until the two-hour Miss America Live! pageant finale on Saturday, January 26th! woohoo!
